FSS-CP3 FLEXIBLE SURFACE SEALING
Polysulfide + Concrete
Floors and embankments of containment areas often no longer meet leak-tightness requirements. This applies to retention basins with earth, concrete, or asphalt surfaces.
Conventional renovation of containment areas is usually very costly. Costs rise quickly, especially in tank farms with large storage tanks.
With the cost-effective FSS-CP3 system, Safewaves offers an alternative solution for the renovation of containment areas. The system restores leak-tightness without the need to renovate the substrate.
The FSS-CP3 system combines two proven solutions.
The rollable CCX concrete geotextile from Concrete Canvas seals the floor and walls of the tank pit. It can be installed quickly and is resistant to chemicals and weathering.
The Sikalastic polysulfide seal ensures a flexible connection between the concrete geotextile and the components in the containment basin, such as foundation supports, pipe penetrations, and tank foundations.
This allows containment areas to be renovated and made compliant with AwSV requirements—without extensive preparatory work on the existing substrate and without interrupting production processes.
FSS-PS FLEXIBLE SURFACE SEALING
Polysulfide + solid substrate
Leaks often occur due to cracked concrete surfaces. Floor surfaces of containment areas and pump sumps, as well as their structures, are particularly affected.
These surfaces are then no longer liquid-tight. Repairing the concrete is very expensive and often not economically viable due to the many built-in components.
Safewaves offers the FSS-PS Flexible Surface Seal for this purpose. The system reliably seals cracked concrete surfaces, even with many built-in components and without complex concrete renovation.
With the FSS-PS system from Safewaves, containment areas can be renovated and made compliant with the requirements of the AwSV and the WHG.
The system retrofits the surfaces with the resistant Sikalastic polysulfide coating. This is flexible, crack-bridging, and resistant to chemicals.
The sealing system is applied directly to the existing substrate, without extensive pretreatment and without interrupting production processes.
FSS-TF FLEXIBLE SURFACE SEALING
Polysulfide + loose substrate
Older tank containment areas with a loose substrate such as clay or bentonite are often no longer liquid-tight.
In the FSS-TF system, a strip-shaped adhesive surface made of steel U-profiles or concrete strips is laid in the substrate.
The Sikalastic polysulfide coating is attached to this. This creates a level and liquid-tight surface.
The solution complies with the requirements of the AwSV and the WHG as well as the DIBt approval of MasterProtect.
FSS-CT FLEXIBLE SURFACE SEALING
Coating
Leaks often occur due to cracked concrete surfaces. Floor surfaces of areas and sumps, as well as their structures, are particularly affected.
These areas are then no longer liquid-tight. Repairing the concrete is very expensive and often not economically viable due to the many built-in components.
Safewaves offers the FSS-CT Flexible Surface Seal for this purpose. The system reliably seals cracked concrete surfaces, even with many built-in components and without complex concrete renovation.
With the FSS-CT system, these surfaces can be renovated and made compliant with the requirements of the AwSV and the WHG.
The system retrofits the surfaces with resistant coating systems. These are heavy-duty and resistant to chemicals.
The sealing systems are applied directly to the existing substrate without complex pretreatment.
FPS Flexible Pipe Seal
Polysulfide
Pipes are the arteries of the process industry. They transport gases and liquids between storage tanks and process plants.
The FPS Flexible Pipe Seal system from Safewaves completely seals every pipe penetration.
The flexible Sikalastic polysulfide material is suitable for a variety of water-hazardous media. An additional lining seals the pipe gap in a fireproof manner.
FTS Flexible Tank Base Seal
Polysulfide
Many storage tanks stand on a dynamic substrate. Corrosion has been a common problem for years because rainwater can penetrate under the tank bottom.
Most bottom leaks are caused by external corrosion. During heavy rain, there is the additional risk of washout in the area of the tank foundation.
This can significantly impair the foundation and thus the structural integrity of the tank.
With the FFS system, supports can be renovated and made liquid-tight again, compliant with the requirements of the AwSV and the WHG.
The system retrofits the surfaces with the resistant Sikalastic polysulfide coating. This is flexible, crack-bridging, and resistant to chemicals.
The sealing system is applied directly to the existing substrate, without extensive pretreatment and without interrupting production processes.
FJS Flexible Joint Seal
Polysulfide
Cracks often form in the joints of concrete surfaces in old and new plants.
Most joint sealants are only suitable to a limited extent because they hardly bridge cracks. A flexible sealing of the joint is the practical solution here.
Dried-out joint seals also pose a risk, for example in the event of a leak or a fire.
With the FJS joint tape system, there is now an alternative to previous joint sealants.
The polysulfide joint tape is dynamic and compensates for movements, for example due to temperature changes in the surfaces.
FJS is also the first joint tape system in a dissipative version. Old joint material does not need to be removed for this.
FSS Wind
Polysulfide
Cracks often occur precisely in this flange area. If water penetrates there, corrosion can occur, which impairs the stability of the turbine.
A complete renovation of the foundation is complex and expensive. With the FSS Wind system, Safewaves offers a flexible sealing solution that permanently protects the transition without complex renovation.
The FSS Wind system reliably seals the transition between the tower and the foundation.
The flexible MasterProtect polysulfide coating compensates for the movements of the turbine and bridges cracks. This keeps the flange area dry and protected from corrosion.
The system is applied directly to the existing substrate without extensive pretreatment. The seal adheres to concrete and steel.
FSS Flexible Support Seal
Polysulfide
Supports in containment areas and pump sumps, as well as their structures, must be integrated into new or existing sealing systems.
Conventional renovation of these supports is very costly. Due to the many built-in components, it is often not economically viable.
Safewaves offers the FFS Flexible Support Seal for this purpose. The system reliably integrates supports into the seal without complex renovation.
